On the night of 6 September (from 18:00 on 5 September), Russia attacked Ukraine with 108 attack UAVs and S8000 Banderol drone-missiles. Air defence forces destroyed 82 Russian UAVs.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
“On the night of 6 September (from 18:00 on 5 September), the enemy attacked with 108 Shahed-type attack UAVs (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Parodiya-type decoy drones, as well as S8000 Banderol, from the directions of: Millerovo, Oryol, Kursk, the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk, Hvardiyiske – the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” the statement said.
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 09:30, air defence forces neutralised 82 Russsian UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, drones of other types, and six S8000 Banderol.
