Ukraine to Support German Defenses After Leipzig Drone Attack

Ukraine and Germany are developing joint measures to counter drones and strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure following Berlin’s attribution of an attempted attack at Leipzig Airport to Russia, European Pravda reported.

Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksii Makeiev said Kyiv is sharing its experience in detecting Russian drones and protecting energy and transport networks with Germany’s Interior Ministry.

The discussions will continue through upcoming calls and bilateral visits.

According to Makeiev, Berlin increasingly views sabotage and covert operations not as isolated attacks, but “as systemic Russian work.”
